The rodeo grounds are located at 37201 North 28th Street, Cave Creek, Arizona. NOTE: Please take Carefree Highway to 24th Street. Go north on 24th Street to Maddock (just north of Cloud). Turn right on Maddock and you will drive straight into the rodeo grounds. PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE DRIVEWAY. There is ample parking in the parking lot and the entrance to the staging area is on the southeast side of the rodeo grounds. Packet PickupPacket pick-up and in-person registration are available at the race site starting at 3:45 p.m.

Maps and Course InformationThe 2012 Luminaria Run course is a road course that runs along quiet desert streets north of the Carefree Highway in west Cave Creek. The course has some rolling hills, but is relatively flat. City views visibile both out and back. Click the links below for maps of the courses. Kids' Desert Dashes are out-and-back courses from the start line. The little kids desert dash is about 50 meters. The Big Kids Desert Dash is approximately 100 meters.

Luminaria Run Traffic Patterns
The Luminaria Run is designed to allow for as little traffic disruption as possible, however,detours may be necessary between the hours of 5:15 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. Please note that the run is approximately one hour and most roads should be clear of runners/walkers by 6:20 p.m. or earlier. Roads are opened as runners finish.
28th Street: The race begins at 5:20 p.m. and runners head south on 28th Street and then return on 28th Street. The road will be blocked for vehicular traffic from approximately 5:20 until 6:00. After that, runner activity on the road will be limited and vehicular traffic should be possible.
Cloud Road (32nd Street - 24th Street): Runners will be traveling on Cloud Road. The road will be closed between 5:20 and 6:10 to all but local traffic. Detours will be back to Carefree Highway west to 24th Street.
32nd Street: 32nd Street will be closed north of Cloud Road from approximately 5:25 - 6:10 p.m. It may open earlier as runners return from the out-and-back course.
